Lucian Curelaru has received his Bsc/Msc in 1998 from Transilvania University, Brasov Romania,
Faculty of Computer Science with a graduating project on numerical methods applied in astronomy for
modeling stellar cores. He has a wide professional experience in multiple software development languages, software design and also a solid experience in databases area. He was continuously involved in astronomy related projects. His main focus was on astrometric measurements for asteroids and double stars. He contributed to twelve scientific papers connected with the two mentioned areas and published in different peer-reviewed scientific magazines. He was actively involved in the EURONEAR initiative for about 12 years, developing various softwares for datamining applied on asteroids and double stars areas and alsoparticipating to data analysis.
