Daniel Bertesteanu has received his MSc in 2009 from University from Bucharest, Romania, Faculty of Biology. He is an experienced amateur astronomer and he is continuously involved in promoting astronomy to students. He is an expert in setting up and fine tuning the astronomical instrumentation and in performing telescopic observations using modern CCD and CMOS camers. This proven by the number of data he submitted to world-wide databases like Minor Planet Center, AAVSO – American Association of Variable Star Observers, and ETD – Exoplanet Transit Database). He reduced and analyzed the obtained data using soft wares such as Astrometrica, Tycho, PRISM, SAO-DS9, and AstroImageJ.
